she's been pecking at food the last couple nights but has not eaten anything until today. She's been on amoxicillin for 8 days now. Monday is day 10. I believe I will stop medicating on day 10 (20 doses) and see how she is.

Mini, have you tried:

Ravyn suggested I use this on a bird near death a while back. I had to feed it with a syringe at first but she gobbled it up later on her own. Any time I've got one sick that won't eat I put them on this stuff. They love it and it works. But it ain't cheap. Petco, Petsense, carry it. I've also used baby oatmeal, too.

Just hangin' for now.  Princess has a final matinee performance today, and I will go.  Friends of hers since grade school  are attending, and we will go out for dinner.  She caught my malady, and last night when she got home she said that she thinks she is getting laryngitis - that could be problematic.
