Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Time to go and eat and lala. That was a fun few hours

Goodnight from this end y'all

Apologies for interrupting the shenanigans, but wanted to thank y'all for your help with Chrissy last December... Recent bandage change on her leg showed that it's scabbing over fantastically, and doesn't look like it's gonna get infected. I think we're outa the woods here. :D

Honestly, I never thought she'd make it, and I doubt she would have if it weren't for y'all. Very grateful for the help I've received here.

I had NO idea...if I could brood outside it might be a different story.

I am very glad to hear it. I had a Narragansett tom that had a freak accident that broke his shank. I had to cut the bone clean and it healed over just fine. I fitted him with a silicone and dowel prosthesis. He had a hard time breeding but otherwise was great! Since she still has a pad, if she has function in the leg she may start to use the stump. My chicken hen Peg did.

Good idea.
She's starting to rest it on the floor. Can't bear weight on it, I think due to the thigh injury, but I think it'll heal with time.
