Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Got my Call eggs in from Ravyn today! As always, excellent packing and they are in great shape.

Does anyone know if a Brinsea autoturner is okay to use with them laying on their sides? It just slowly rocks the whole incubator back and forth. I would also give them a 180 degree turn by hand once or twice a day.

That's essentially what I did in my GQF. I made a cradle and ziptied it to one of the trays so that rotation was 45 degrees or so along the long axis in each direction. Worked like a charm! I turned 180 degrees at day 10 or so, but that was the only time.

Thanks much! That's exactly what I needed to know. And since you had a 100% hatch I'm thinking it works just fine, lol.

I was wondering about that same thing with My QGF cabinet yesterday and thought the same thing

That I would have to add some hand turning to it .decided NO NOT GONNA . Ravyn does get really good hatch rates hand turning . I just don't have time to hand turn .

I got 6/6 Calls with GQF mod. If I didn't have so dang many eggs I'd do that more often.

I can tiebreak if ya want and say #2 :p

I'm waiting for my Calls and gosling to hatch before I enter 'cause they are gonna be adorable.

I like having one a Leela pic... just seems fitting...

Goslings!!! :weee

Flip a coin, just make sure its comes up with no. 2 :p

Et tu??? :lau

I'm enjoying the symmetry here. It'll be even better when I get more goose eggs in.

400
