Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

My other ducks will be too.
Ssshhhhhh!

I trade you one for Chrissy, and Deb one for Alfalfa. :D
Still have to enclose the pen and move their house, but I'm test-filling it now. Hope it doesn't leak! :fl

Remember I had that comet go broody too. I guess even ones that don't normally brood can still catch the bug. Best of luck to her! What kind of eggs are you gonna give her?

Her's and a JG x Cornish Cross

If that's the case, then Deb, time to terminate the mission. I ain't giving Chrissy to nobody!

Incubating with an RCOM 20.

That's one that always gives you issues?

Sorry, bacon and eggs are all gone. Ducks are off limits! Look but don't touch. :D

Besides, you wouldn't want them to miss out on the future home, would you?

:fl best of luck!
I forgot I had a broody due today till I went to check on her and saw a chick!
cool!! And go broody!!!

I'll just go to the source of almost-cute ducks (right, Deb?) and snag ourselves a couple from her....
I bet she'd willingly give you some of the un-cuteness

Thanks. I didn't think it would ever really happen.
Cool! Have you hatched any of those yet?
I thought that might change your tune :D

Yep, they're in the pic, too. The "pillow" for the center chick is one. They were all different. One looks mostly Cornish X, the others are smaller and have a few black flecks. Could be from the JG side or something in the CX background.

Ahem, I'd like 2 for Alfalfa, please.

I don't think it's your technique... I think you need to try a different bator... those are supposed to be good ones, but I'm betting you got a lemon... :/

X whatever!  The denizens of the Pond are the best.

Go Pea!!  Wishing you lots of luck and good hatching vibes.

:gig

Just brought in the 4 eggs from under Joan, and all 4 seem to be developing well!  Nice strong veins and a lava lamp blob moving around.  Looked at them closer, and 1 egg is from my Legbar and 1 from my EE.  I think the other 2 are halfloff eggs.  Hoping they are all half blue wheaten ameraucana and should be blondish, but if the chicks come out black, I'll know that Buzzard was getting some action.

Can't wait to see what Joan hatches!!

Have you filled the duck boat yet? We've got a broody Jersey Giant. I didn't think they we're supposed to be broody.

The 3 black ones we had were perpetually broody... crazy as mad hatters to boot...

The boat pool is going to be awesome!  Such a pretty setting, WV

X2!!

All must pass the mighty broodys to reach little 'lings here... good luck... CPP has proven to not only be half the size of Crash, but twice the crazy as a mama, lol...
