Had a doe and her fawn come up right close to the house last year. I got some pictures before I let the dog out to scare them beasts away from my garden. I'm installing a fence this year in the hopes I get a few tomatoes.

Don't bother. Save your green stamps. If a deer is hungry enough, or you're growing something they really crave, nothing short of an 8' cyclone fence is gonna keep them out, and I've even seen a buck clear one of them with "air to spare".

I always see this as the first new post and I read it was a chat thread, and all the other threads I've been on have been fine with me doing that. I realized I just caused a big deal of trouble.... I never knew this was a thread for mature people...

No trouble, but now I'm curious. If all of those friends are already on several chat threads together, why not stick to one? I mean, if you want to "meet" other people here, I think that's great!! Fabulous!! But then why invite all the same people? Branch out, enjoy BYC. I'm not trying to be a meanie.

This thread has over 68,000 posts! Its a tight group, although we always welcome newcomers! But read a little and see if its for you. I'd suggest that you do that with other threads as well.
