Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Oh Ralphie dares to question the expert. :lau

Lady, I have no idea where you are coming fro now? The SOP does not say it needs a gene at any loci or containing any info. The SOP's say you need to have a cream colored bird and a little chestnut is acceptable!

There is no fault in the areas you are talking about on that bird. I have showed that bird to the others on the Cream legbar board. Not one mentioned color as a fault. I am sure not going to tell you what the faults are if you cannot see them..

BUT please consider this conversation over. This is a for sale thread and not a discussion thread. Please go some where else and peddle your garbage!~ it is complete nonsense!

I started following the advice from the goose thread and started first thing yesterday morning not letting her nip. Showed everyone what to do, even the grands, and this evening she went to nip at me and I snapped "no bite" and she stepped back and didn't bite, just stood there looking at me with a sorta questioning look...Am I insane, or is she getting it?:confused:

It's never fun to hear that you don't have what you think you have.
I know :hit

Insane :plbb

Lol! Alaskan, I am offended!

:lau

Not really, of course.

Phew! I was going to joke about that comment, but everyone beat me to it. :D

Geese are pretty smart, and train easily(until they get in their ruts). I am sure that means she us getting it.

I was bad, I really tried to hold my tongue.

I am not an expert on all chickens, I do happen to know 4 breeds pretty well.

Legbars happens to be one of them. I have more to learn, I know.....BUT I have never seen a SOP written to say a bird needs a certain gene.

I am pretty sure when the SOP refers to color, they mean the wave length of light that is reflected must appear a "certain named color" and not a DNA test will reveal a gene is either present or not...

You can all argue with me all you want.. I really am harmless and not offended unless confront by gross stupidity..

really, trust me on that.
