That sounds like a lot of fun! I only got one backpacking trip in over the summer, but would like to do more.

DH has a stressful job, so it's a great way to disconnect from the craziness.

Then I enlarged the photo...and I read the letters "dike" wow thinks I, on a button? huh. Then I look again and read "dixie" and think again... huh, on a button? And in such small font too...odd.

Working on a quilt now with features blocks that are outhouse.

I got a cool sewing machine for my birthday - not an "embroiderer" - but capable of some fun new stitches (okay - realistically I had my old machine for 30 years, EVeRyTHInG is cool and new). I am looking forward to busting out the creativity for Christmas presents.

...so as I'm busy responding away to things that are pages back from here, I finally get to the end and realize it just looks as though I'm not paying any attention to the actual conversation - which I wasn't - which was probably a good thing... Speedos? Seriously? Blech! I'm with WV on this one. Eeeewwwww. (I do tell a great "skinny dipping Europeans meet a troupe of boy scouts on a backpack trip" story though...)
