I sent Ravyn this pic last night but wanted to share here...My 4 yr old grandson has developed an absolute love for this guy. He brought him in last evening hugging him gently and and after informing me that his rooster loves him too, he asked " is he a ohiki woo?" lol I said I think so and he said "you have to ask Wavyn" so I did and informed him this morning that he was right. He jumped up and down all excited and looking up with a huge grin said " thanks Wavyn"....
He's absolutely filthy in the pic but he's an outside all day lil boy!!!!

My mom broke a fly swat on my butt once . . I kept going to the neighbors house to play with their dog.

My AC's are still churning them out... don't really want to hatch more right now, but if they don't sell I just can't eat them!

I can't be too hard on him. . there was probably something going on outside he didn't like. Last time he woke someone up like that was when the house was broke into. I got up and looked out but didn't see anything. I can't believe he works the door knob sometimes until he gets it open!
I may have to get one of those child proof thingy s.

I candled again today - 14 developing well! Day 10! Wahoo!!!

That is spectacular!!!

I was a bit nervous, lol... my luck with having eggs shipped *from* CA has not been the best...

It's time to switch dentists. I actually really like the dentist himself, but his hygienist is quite condescending. I wanted to say, "Yeah, I know I have a few jammed together teeth that are hard to clean! Just do your job and spare me the lecture...Every.Time."

Yeah, I have had a real mixed bag with shipped eggs - 0% - 85% - and it doesn't seem to matter where they are from. I was telling Pyxis that I really think it has more to do with the boxes it gets shipped with - heavy vs. light - since it's almost all automated now and they just tumble down on top of one another.

I think it's a requirement that they have to bug the crap out of you. I like my dental hygienist, but she is always, "Your gums are bleeding too much." Yep, and I have had low clotting factor, and take a daily aspirin, so? I finally told her, "I am 75 years old and still have all but one of my teeth, and broke that one while ice skating and trying to grab a girl by the butt. I must be doing something right." I think she got the message.

Holy guacamole, I just got the surprise of the day. I went to lock down my turkey eggs and my AC eggs, opened the incubator, and there was a poult in there! Today is just barely day 25. I was gonna snap a picture, but of course my phone died and I don't have time to charge it before work.

Barring me finding ko shamo eggs, this is my last batch of the year. That's right, I unplugged the incubator

Of course, it gets up to temp in less than half an hour when plugged back in...

I'm locking down my first set of call eggs in a couple days

Guess I'd be just splitting hares, to argue with that
