the church I go to

I just picked up a pair of shoes for the youngest from Salvation Army. I asked why he had not worn them. He said he didn't want to be late....

Did not realize just how big this fella was till I caught him next to one of the RIR hens. He’s the same size, maybe not quite as heavy but he’s only just barely 4 months old.

Years ago, the DH and I visited a beautiful Russian Orthodox church in Alaska...if I remember correctly it was somewhere between Anchorage and Talkeetna. It may actually have been a monastery, now that I think about it...

Years ago, the DH and I visited a beautiful Russian Orthodox church in Alaska...if I remember correctly it was somewhere between Anchorage and Talkeetna. It may actually have been a monastery, now that I think about it...

There are lots of churches up here. When the Russians owned Alaska they also sent missionaries, and many churches were built. The old ones are usually wood with cute Russian domes.

Our church is new, built in a town that was pretty much nothing back then, which is why it had no church. But the style of our church is similar to the old churches, except most of the old ones have many domes, and we only have one.
