Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Oh, no! :hit :hugs

So sorry! :(

She was the only one out of that hatch that i wanted to keep. Of course! Although probably better that i didn't. All the boys have hackle leakage and showed me which hen I need to get rid of. But I did want to see how she would grow out.

Oh I'm so sorry!!! :hugs
Horrible hawks...

I don't think the hawk got her. I don't see any damage on the body, unless he dropped her over the water. I think she just fell in and couldn't get back out. 12 weeks old, I woulda thought she could get out. :(

But we did spot the HUMONGOUS red-tail at camp that took my lavender out. omg its a big baztard.

Could have. All the others had taken cover. But probably lucky we showed up when we did, cause their door was open, it could have cleaned that whole bachelor pen out. :(
Hubby is on high alert at both places. Pitchforks in abundance. ;)

(she was the only female from Felicia's hatch of 5! Why couldn't it have been one of those mean little cockerels.)

we have gotten to the point that we are a bit leary of getting favorite birds...almost feels like as soon as you decide it is special enough to name, it dies.
:hugs
It's not nearly cold enough for snow here tonight so why does the sky have that, it's gonna snow, look about it!?!
:(

evil bad horrid snow

Once upon a time, I went to the store to buy duck food. I thought they had small bags, but I was wrong. So...thankfully the pile of 50 pound bags was pretty high. All I had to do was hip check the bag while pulling & bam, in my cart. :clap

At the register, the cashier didn't ask if I needed help like normal. I asked her, she got on her little walkie talkie thing & asked who was on for help. Well, of course, Josh is on break & Conner is late for his shift. So she says Josh can help you in 10 minutes. :tongue

No way lady. Out to my car with the cart. Guess how deep the sides of that cart looks now. I gotta wrestle it up & over the sides into my trunk. Try #1 bag slips out of my hands. During try #2, guy asks...can I have yer cart when yer done. Sure dude, gimme a minute here. Very close, but no luck. I didn't have my hand secured well enough on the bottom of the bag. Try #3 Good grip, but the dam cart rolls so my trunk is out of reach. Try #4. Nailed it. Meanwhile, guy just stands there watching. Waiting for my cart. Really guy? You with the marine patch? No help?

I'm not even stood up yet from my trunk & guy says, I'm gonna take this now, okay?

Now will someone please come over, get the duck food out of my trunk & while you're here, please open my jar of pickles? :D :lau
