@BantyChooks forgot to tell you, I tried my big plastic waterers on top of the galvanized heater plate, and so far, no issues. No melting, and its keeping the water thawed just fine.

@BantyChooks forgot to tell you, I tried my big plastic waterers on top of the galvanized heater plate, and so far, no issues. No melting, and its keeping the water thawed just fine.

I never have water freezes up even when it's 30 below.
And my set up keeps the coop clean too.
All the water stays contained so the straw on the floor stays dry.
