He's a splash copper Marans - I have a bunch of his x my BCM hens in the incubator. I can hardly wait to find out what they will look like (blues, I'm anticipating...).

Docs nurse twisted their arms and I have a Cardeologist appointment Tomorrow......

I actually had lasagna tonight too. Was kind of a mish-mash of the broken noodles I had after making a big pan, so i just put it all in together. Tasted the same!

I've given up on regular lasagne noodles and will just do a layer of whatever pasta I have on hand between the cheesy, saucy, veggie goodness (except spagetti...I haven't ever used spaghetti. Spaghetti in a casserole type dish would be too reminiscent of worms...)

All of my kids do as well.... someone is always quoting some random line from it around here.

I really like him... ... but it has been awhile since I have bred Marans and checked their standard. As a splash Marans, is it a big DQ to have all of that brown/red sort of here and there on him?

I really like him... ... but it has been awhile since I have bred Marans and checked their standard. As a splash Marans, is it a big DQ to have all of that brown/red sort of here and there on him?

I honestly don't know... Splash sort of implies "splashy" markings, rIght? I don't know. Anyway, I'm not too terribly concerned with his qualifications because any extra offspring at hatch will just be sold as pet quality for pretty cheap. I do wish he was a tad bit less of a freak. He almost rivals my leghorn cockerels for nervousness, while his hens are super social.
