Good morning Pond...
Happy Easter! Hope you all have a great day.
Had a house full of busy yesterday. Then dh and I went out for dinner. Came home and I crashed...
Then he let me sleep late ..
So I am way behind again. Seems I stay that way lately. Gonna go read back through now.

So hubby and I decided yesterday that we have to get rid of a drake. After Sofie s jail break yesterday she got roughed up pretty bad and so I took Memphis out and peace unto all was restored in the palace. All the girls hate him. But he is so friendly to people I just hate to give him up.

I was ok with the decision yesterday. . hubby is putting together a transport cage to take him to the sale next Saturday and now I feel like crying. View attachment 1318997 I'm going to miss him.

Poor Peter Parker (my favorite little black SB roo); he squeezed himself through a gap (I knew I needed to fix) in the fence and got into a pen with a very protective rooster and his hens. Tonight, he was in a corner of that pen, all bloodied up. I cleaned him up -mostly - and put some Neosporin on him. He's spending the night in a cage in the car port. I won't be able to put him out with the other boys until he's healed up a bit. Then I am concerned about the pecking order when he goes back. My bachelors are really full of it right now.
If I had been more vigilant...dang. I hate when it's something I could have prevented that hurts one of my birds.
