Anyone still awake? It’s day 23 and it already pipped! I feel like throwing up I’m so worried. First time incubating ducks. It’s peeping at me. Do I keep the pipped part up or down facing the floor?

@room onthebroom - well, the weeds must be pretty if people are taking pics... You all should run out an photo bomb as many as possible!

@LittleLakePhil - is it normal for you all to still be very snowy there? Or, do things tend to be thawing by now?

@WVduckchick - I had to do some research about your piercing (I'm not in the know about stuff like that) - I really hope it helps stem those awful migraines!

@Fields Mountain Farm - Vix looks really happy in his new pool! I had a couple chickens show up for "snacks" today that looked like they could've used a pool themselves! How did they find that much mud? I just don't know!

It's normal..... We had early spring last couple years..... But many a year I make it a point to find a snow bank on my birthday to jump in.
My birthday is 6 June...... So it can hang on here in the woods for a long time.
Yes this is big snow country...... And with us still getting into the single digits at night not a lot of thawing going on right now. Our high temp today was 21.

I think they're pretty cute... Personality? Egg laying? Big/small birds?

I found the chicks and young ones a little more likely to die than other breeds.

SUPER mellow laid back, so easy to pick up and cuddle. Super fluffy and wide ... so a large bird... but not huge.

Decent egg layers. Medium sized cream colored eggs.

put it in the incubator. .. add some super hot water to get the humidity back up, put the egg down, pip up

I would just put it back.... It will make it way out....I don't usually help.... Except last hatch I thought they were all done and there the eggs in the garbage...... And heard one still peeping on like day 29.....I cut that one out ever so careful.

Having a super bad pain day...... Sucks.
I'm so far behind...... Hope you all had a good day. I went to a outdoor recreation show.

my kid and his friend just got 2 more junker snow machines. Both are now at my house.

my house... the land of junk.
