Nasty smog!

Depends where you live. The majority of CA is rural farmland or mountains.

1st hatch this morning is one of @Laurel Meadows Black Coppers!! These eggs took a postal beating, so I wasn't entirely optimistic. And, two more of them have pips!

Of the eggs she sent me, most never developed. 2 seramas and 2 white bantam Ams. 3 of those 4 have quit as of this morning, I only have a single white Am left. I doubt very seriously that it will make it another week.

I've been trying to catch my AC keeping the bachelors from attacking each other. They especially like to beat up on my BCM (they ripped out his tail before I put the AC with them) They're much better behaved now, so he really only has to intervene a little.

I went to the doctor because of this spreading allergic dermatitis and got a shot and a prescription! So happy i went, i may even start feeling human again. Hoping for a total recovery from that mess.
My appointment is scheduled April 30th for Mohs surgery, so i will be looking forward to getting that over with.
Love seeing everyones babies, especially that Emu. Someone around here is selling Ostrich eggs for $100 each!

Honestly, I think it was because she used the small square priority mail box. Its a small cube. I guarantee they roll it around any ole way they want.

But in other news, I had 2 splash cochin chicks in the incubator when I left this morning, one pip, and the cream legbars are due tomorrow.

But in other news, I had 2 splash cochin chicks in the incubator when I left this morning, one pip, and the cream legbars are due tomorrow.

my eggs are hatching. ... one dude hatched yesterday. .. has a bit of a hernia, not sure about the outcome on it.... next pip is surrounded by a bit of blood. blah not sure why..... hope the rest hatch normal.

BUT I had to take out the extra eggs (they were packed in there. .. 2 sets) and put then in Sally. I never did figure out what I needed to buy to replace Sally's wafer, so she is swinging between 98 and 100. hum.

So you name your incubators? Interesting. I have Brinsea, Little Giant, Incuview, and DIY.

The air quality in San Diego & Orange County's not bad. Whats weird about the smog is you can see it coming as you drive into Riverside county or LA, but once you're in it, you don't really notice. Its very deceiving.

I've still got the blahs, but everybodys new babies (& this cancer causing coffee) is making me feel a little better.

Noy only did the chicks sell but I was able to re-home 3 kittens.
