Well, I'm annoyed.

From time to time, if I see something that catches my eye and the price is low, I will bid on and buy eggs on eBay. I usually have really good luck with eggs bought on there. Last night, I saw some eggs that I was interested in and the price stayed low so I bid and won, and paid immediately as I always do.

Usually, a seller sets the auction to end the night before they're going to ship the eggs. My eggs didn't ship today. I wasn't mad or anything, just wondering when they might ship, and also I wanted to make sure the seller included a 9-3 form for me because I need that to keep my NPIP certification (seller of course being NPIP also).

So I decided to just sent a short note saying I'm excited to get the eggs, can you please include a 9-3 form when you send them? Figuring the seller would probably take it from there and tell me when they were going to ship.

Instead, I got a snarky message back that reads as follows:

Yes it will be included. But I asked that they should be payed for within auction end or at least within 12 hours of auction end. It keeps me from driving a 22 mile trip to PO by mailing all the boxes I have go off bid at one time. I have had 4 no pay customers this season and I won't send eggs until they are payed for.

In addition, she sent me a second totally separate message asking that I pay her.

The problem with that being, I already paid. So I sent her a message that said exactly that, and included a screenshot of me having already paid.

At this point I was pretty annoyed. She probably already packed my eggs up and left them sitting around all day getting older and potentially less viable because she, for some reason, thought I didn't pay. And chose to not contact me about 'not having paid' until it was way too late in the day to have shipped them. Don't you think if it was such a big deal that she needed to be paid before going to the post office that she could have sent me a message earlier in the day before she went to the post office? I was on the cusp of sending her another message saying something to the effect of she better collect me fresh eggs because it's not fair that she left my eggs sitting around all day when I did everything I was supposed to.

But before I did that, she replied saying sorry, she didn't see I paid in her email but just checked Paypal and it was there. So, she just assumed I didn't pay without even checking her Paypal and apparently without even checking her eBay because it will tell you right in your Dashboard if an order has been paid for or not, and then she went on to send me a message, probably from that Dashboard, still not registering the fact that I paid.

But she did say sorry and she said she will ship the eggs out tomorrow. So I just sent a message back saying, don't worry, as long as the eggs that are shipped to me are freshly collected it's fine.

Yeesh.

They won't be able to negotiate the ramp right away. Can a hen carry a chick to the top of a ramp w/o incident?

They might surprise you. I was astounded at the things Iris could do to be near mom.

A A A nd .. I pretty much still dress like that. No sweaters though yuck. I have changed my ways and wear hooded sweatshirts. :p

Me too. Minus the Birks.

son turned off the stove... and something inside the stove shorted out.
