Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Nothing working at all?

nothing.

So we checked the breaker, flipped it...

checked the outlet... but of course I have nothing else that plugs into a stove outlet... but it looked fine... checked all back parts of the stove.

:barnie

And it is a really nice... we spent lots of money on it! A double oven range... but 2 years old. .. or maybe 3...

I am at war with the wild rabbits! They keep eating things i planted.

can ya just eat them all?

I swear I didn't do it

Ha! My poor kid felt bad and apologized. I told him turning off the oven is something an oven should manage to live through.

He,was good though... spent over an hour cleaning the mudporch... So we don't all die of embarrassement when the repair guy comes.

Google the make/model and something like 'not working' or 'died'. Might get lucky and find someone else that did the same thing and figured it out. :fl
Hope its an easy/cheap fix

I found a piece of shell almost hidden by Mama's wing earlier; something's happening under there.

:clap How long has it been since you let a broody hatch chicks?

I thought I saw a piece of shell under my other broody call duck, but I think it was a feather. I do think I heard a peep though.

A couple years ago was the first & only time, and we were on vacation when they hatched. Only had two; one died soon after hatching & the chicken-sitter lady took the other one when it was only a day or two old.

Got 3 chicks at the moment and more hatching..:fl

Good .morning Pond! :frow
Got up to the power out and it just came back on ...:th

Hope it wasn't out too long! I'm surprised mine didn't go out with the horrible storm we had. Poor Roscoe is scared of the thunder and woke me up several times.

How many hatchers you got out now?? :pop

Mystery solved. A pair of house finches had a nest on the front porch. Three days ago 1 egg hatched. The parents seemed agitated, and next day the chick was gone and the nest was deserted. I blamed Scaredy Cat. Today I cleaned/removed the nest, and to my surprise found the shell of a hatched cowbird egg wrapped around a house finch egg. They knew the hatchling was an impostor and deserted the nest. If they nest again I'll be on the outlook for a 'parasitic' egg.
