Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I am very annoyed. Since I sold my rabbits, I was also selling the hutch I built them. I posted it around and got a bite on Facebook.

The girl who messaged me told me she was just getting into rabbits and was in high school so she didn't have a huge budget, etc, and so being nice I decided to knock $20 off the price for her. She asked for extra pictures, which was no problem, I got those taken for her and it all seemed good. She asked if I could hold the hutch until this weekend, since that's when she would be paid and also when she would be able to pick it up, so I said yes, that's fine, but it's gonna have to be Friday or Saturday since I'm out of state Sunday.

So Thursday rolls around, and I message her asking what time Friday or Saturday (today) she wants to come get it. She says that her and her mother, who was going to come with her to pick it up, are busy with things both Friday and Saturday, and can they come Sunday? I reiterate that I'm out of state Sunday, and furthermore I'm at a poultry show, which I wanted to bring the money from the hutch sale to so I can buy some birds...

So she talks to her mom and figures that maybe they can come out Friday afternoon. Okay, good. Afternoon comes around, she asks for my address, I give it to her, and then...nothing. A while later she sends me a message saying sorry, they got caught up and couldn't make it today, but her mom would stop by and grab it today.

So I say okay, what time? And she says early in the morning on her way to doing something in another town. I don't do early in the morning. I work a swing shift, I'm not up. So I tell her I'm not available in the morning, but maybe my father would be willing to help with this, I can check, what time would her mother be coming?

And out of nowhere she sends a message saying "What is it made of?"

Since she had already seen the pictures I took for her, I was confused and wondered if she sent that message to me but it was meant for someone else, so I just responded "The hutch? It's wood with a wire floor."

And suddenly, this was a problem, because she wanted it for an indoor cage, and she thought the inside area had a wooden floor (but apparently the rest being wire would be fine indoors?) and now it's not going to work. I told her that I have a piece of plastic I use to put down in the indoor area to make the floor solid when needed, but yeah, as stated in the ad and as IN ALL THE PICTURES the floor was wire. I also said it could be used indoors if you wanted to buy a tray to put under the floor, but it was indeed an outdoor hutch. Shocking since all the pictures of it where taken outside, I know.

But, you know, those trays are "expensive" (they're $20 at TSC) and she just doesn't think it's going to work.

So to recap, I knocked the price down, took a bunch of pictures showing just about every angle of the hutch, held it for a week, and now suddenly it just won't work for what they need it for and they won't be buying it. :barnie :he

Hey Whites..... third bugger was in my pile yesterday morning....I just don't think with this cold I want to go sit in a treestand.
Next year I'm gonna build a portable blind.
I'll weld a lightweight frame together and convert and old garden tractor trailer into a pull behind sit in blind..... metal frame.... thin plywood walls. Should work just find.
I'm getting to old to sit in a tree on single digit days
