Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I’m with the chickens on this one, ponds, they are dangerous places.:(
I mean apart from the risk of drowning; (can someone point me to the shallow end please because I don’t swim well) you often can’t see what’s under the water. There could be alligators in here. What about snakes? Does anyone check?
I’ll just sit on the edge here with my trouser legs rolled up and maybe dip a couple of toes in the water if it’s not too cold. After all, I am British you know.:p
Well Hello Shad! :frow
Glad ya stopped by.. dont worry about the monkeys.. they dont bother us unless someone decides to feed em..:D
The python isnt much trouble either..
The muck can get ya tho so I hope you brought some wadders..:lau

:love:love
As it happens (reaches into his rucksack for a thermos flask) I did.
Italian coffee! Help yourself. Be warned, you could stand a spoon in it.
Got any left? I sure could use a cup too! :fl

:gig:gig:gig
You just gave me a title for my new book..."When Beavers Attack"
:lau:lau:gig:lau:gig:gig
Sometimes the Princess is just not fair. I told her that I had just welcomed someone to BYC who has 58 nine week old chickens in their living room. I then paced off the living room rug and told her that I was going to build a pen and raise just 10 chickens in our living room. She never said a thing - just held up her hand and made a 0 with her thumb and forefinger. That's just not right. :rant
I dont think that was an OK..:gig

I really don't want chickens in the living room, but it's always fun to work at her. :p

Winner thread of the day - someone was plucking pin feathers from their hen because they were told that they were parasites. :he
Poor Princes..:lau

 :he :th
My kids made some dog/cat blankets to donate & I was looking thru the local shelters to do animal counts, see who needs them most, etc... & I accidentally came across a hospice dog. They're hoping someone will bring her home to give her a happy place to spend the last few months (?) of her life.... I am dying here... Somebody talk me down. :(
I'm with Nat.. dont do it, you have enough goin on ya right now. :( :hugs
So the thought occurred to me ,what I really need is more to do . Couple hundred chickens wasn't enough . Nooooooo I had to add ten turkeys twenty five soon to be thirty five goats . And a big as white dog that barks all night and sleeps all day :rolleyes:eats all his food:eek:And then eats the cats food too. DD don't like that at all and I get:rant. And some how can find every dead animal within a mile of the house and wants me to see them all :sick One day I just know he'll drag up a cow :lauHe can break a ham bone in half with his teeth :eek:I'm not sure just how big his range is , and he is very sneaky:oops: He can be right beside you before you know it . That in itself isn't bad . But if he happens to growl it is . It's one of those heart stopping growls  I really like Joe :loveAnd he loves his goats . Maybe a little to much . I'm think I better get him a girl friend . It's either that ,or I'm going to have some mighty funny looking goats :idunno:lau late at night and I can't sleep . Thought I try and read a little pond logic . It always seems to put life into perspective for me . Nice to know there are others with over greased wheels :gig. I don't get on much just trying to keep things from slipping off my plate is a full time job. Reckon I better try and sleep . Got to feed and drive sixty miles to pick up them goats in the morning . I just wish I wasn't so bored :frow:frow:frow
:frow
Dont get him a gf.. get him a buddy, a male buddy! :p Unless you want puppies.:th

Same here. Some days it’s hard to run back to the Pond fast enough!

@Shadrach we keep a row of chains on one side of the Pond for times when it gets a bit sticky out there in the rest of BYC land. They get used quite often, but there are still usually some open, if you ever need to run for cover. :)
I haven't drug the chains out lately.. I think we're missin a couple tho.. hope the python didn't get tangled in any that may have been lost in the pond.. :fl
Im not untangling him.. someone else will have to do that :lau

Good morning Pond Prowlers :frow
Its COLD! :(

Wow! Where?

Whats a little heartache :idunnobring home the dog . it won't be hard you won't grow attached , or connect with it . You won't :hitat all when it passes .:hmm Remember how hard the ground was for the chicken grave ? This one has to be bigger .:idunnoDo you really want to go through that ? SO GO GET THE DOG ALREADY YOU KNOW YOU ARE !!! But what you really need is a goat . I can fix you right up with a goat . I'm sure I can find one close to death :lau:lau Easier to cook than a dog .Or so I've heard .;)

Dang freaking snowing again..... Hope it doesn't about to too much.... Don't really want to plow today.
So those two like call ducks of mine.... Yeah the ones I paid extra to get Drakes.
Both laid their first eggs yesterday......:gig
I knew a few days after I got them.... And one of them quacked that the hippie chick I bought them from was full of it.
But it all worked out..... They are great little ducks.
