Pretty much how I spent most of my day... Behind the wheel of my plow truck..... At least all the bells and whistles work..... And the seat is comfortable..... So just just kick back and listen the the radio and plow..... Our road is a private road so I plow the whole road.... All my neighbors..... My Other neighbor Jimmy does the road as well.....

@kwhites634 , travel safely.

Safe travels friend.. you and your family are in my prayers.

x2 :hugs

Well, the pupper's eye procedure wasn't so successful after all. Everything looked good when the stitches (and button) came out last Saturday (as reported earlier) but it was like a slow motion train wreck since, I could tell by the end of the week something was going the wrong way, culminating in an emergency run this morning to our Vet. (I had planned last night on calling today to see if I could get her in on Monday but things changed quickly as soon I woke up). Poor baby. Great vet and staff, got to her as soon as possible. Two more serious emergencies (accidents) arrived ahead of us with only one vet. Reinforcements were called in. The pup developed Anterior Uveitis. The deep cataract is believed to be initially at fault, most likely causing (worse case scenario) a lens protein leak into the eye fluid. The pressure build up in the eye because of the AU caused the healed ulcerated cornea (the reason for the original surgery) to once again detach. :th Anyway, long story short, the sight in that eye is pretty much toast. AU is extremely painful so the goal now is to relieve the pain, head off any infection and reduce the pressure in the eye ball. The final result will either be blind in that eye but comfortable or the eye will need to be removed and then she will be comfortable. We should have a better handle on the final prognosis on Monday when we go back in to recheck the eye pressure.

Dang it!!! :he:barnie:hugs

DH cleans out our driveway, my mom's and the churchyard with his skid loader. (No heat, no door) We hired someone with a tractor and blower to do the churchyard this time. Good thing. He got ours done, and barely enough of my mom's for her to get out before he got a flat tire on the skid loader. He's not sure when he's going to get it fixed. Hopefully this next system doesn't cause too many drifts.

So.... remember how the plow started going wonky .... turned out the entire wiring harness had to be replaced...

We picked up the harness Friday afternoon. Worked on it for a few hours that evening. Replaced the wiring harness on the plow. Not too bad... we were just slow.

But then it kind of worked... so we thought we would hold off on replacing the truck half of the wiring harness (because we were fantasizing that we could do that on a non-snowing day during daylight)

Then I went to my coffee group Saturday morning. . Spouse decided to plow in order to be helpful.

Well....

Spouse stuck the truck by running it into the church pond... just the plow... the neighbor pulled out the plow truck... but. . Spouse also managed to BREAK the bottom scraper blade on the plow AND of course lose almost all of the bolts.

I bought more bolts...

Blasted road still sucks... especially around the corners.

:hugs Poor girl! (And poor you - it's hard to see our pets suffer.)

Thank you. It sure is. She's doing better this morning. Better living thru modern chemistry.

I'll trade ya! We're supposedly in for 2-4" more tomorrow into Monday, with 25-40 mph wind gusts and a "high" on Tues. of -14.
You folks REALLY need to stop sharing your weather with us folks on the other side of the big river. Your generosity really is not very appreciated. :rant:lau

They just get to the point sometimes you have to go under the knife.....
So sorry :hmm It's not like you haven't already been given your share of health issues to deal with, GEEEESH!

Dang....
I'm sorry my friend.
Thank you friend. I really hate to watch her in pain. She really is such a trooper about the whole thing.

Don't you just love when "Murphy's Law" decides visiting in winter would be so much fun???

My old truck.... Which I just sold a few weeks ago.... Heat worked but only on full blast..... No brakes..... No power steering..... No choke..... No radio.... My one wiper blade that quit last year finally.
Plow was only up and down...... No gas gauge.
When it was too cold outside I had to crawl under and heat starter ..... Till it would start working again....

20181205_155229.jpg

But it would move a TON of snow.... With it's four speed Granny gear.....33" syped tires.
Gas tank was in the bed..... Bought this pitbull of a truck for $600 in 1998.....
.... Don't think I spent a dime on maintenance.... Always just kept it going with whatever I had laying around..... Sold it for $300.....Pat was gonna pay me $400 but I told him to just keep the extra hundred to have it towed home..... He lives about 40 miles from here. A mutual friend flatbedded it to his place for$100...... Hes happy as a pig in mud..... Truck runs great..... And he works at an auto parts store so he gets parts cheap.
I could have parted it out and sold the 360 C.I.D. motor.... With it's Holley carb.. And Edelbrock intake .... Plow seperate and made more..... But glad it's at a new home... Moving snow again

I should have said I didn't spend a dime on repairs.... Changed the oil every year..... With synthetic...... Only used premium (alcohol free) gasoline......
