Surprised Phil had such a short ride this morning. (relatively speaking. Nothing for us is just down the road). Sadists. You would think they would show a bit of mercy for those who must roadtrip before daylight. At least put us a bit later in the "que". Oh well, at least we get to be the first to go back to sleep.

He's in for a long day. I have no idea how long a hip surgery might be but it can't be short. My surgery next week is scheduled as first in line also but if all goes well it will be just a laparoscopic procedure. even if they hit too much scarring and I have to be "unzipped", there are not any major parts replacements involved. Easy peasy. I've already been opened up more times than a ziploc baggy of chocolate at a women's PMS support group so just another day at the office for me. Poor DH on the other hand........ I can only hope his daughter (the nurse) will be able to get off work to come sit with him. He's such a worrier when it comes to me
