So sorry. I've only had to deal with mild dementia in a dear neighbor that I did hospice for as the Parkinson's was taking her. She wasn't family so I can only guess how much harder that is for you.

You know, Deb, as I watch your avatar, I see you. Not a light footed, fragile thoroughbred that can run like the wind but can just as easily crumple those delicate legs like matchsticks on the slightest obstruction, but a solid and powerful animal that slams it's hooves into the ground with pure force of will, each thrust driving the strong body forward into and through whatever obstacle is thrown up in front of it. Soooo, today I was at the sale barn and made a split second decision to bid on a nanny... I think she’s a pretty good looking nanny. A little wormy maybe and slightly deficient in something minerals but overall nice. It wasn’t until I got her home that I realized after watching my sister bid on goats 5-6 times I had picked up some of her amazing eye for good goats. This one is quite friendly. She’s obviously used to being handled a lot. Not ten minutes after putting her in quarantine she started rubbing on me.
