Ours are fir. .. Very soft too. They're a pain, and after 3 busy kids, fairly dinged up as well! The walls and cabinets are all pine... pine is very soft and dents super easily...the walls are in good shape, but the cabinets are so beat up! There are deep dings and dents all over. There is a crease on the cabinet side where the trashcan sits.. ..it is ridiculous. And because they are so soft, at times the dirt gets smashed deep into the wood, and I think absorbed too....
Anyway... don't have money to redo the cabinets, but I would love to. I really want to replace them... with hardwood cabinets, solid surface top and stronger drawer glides...
Never had pine cabinets, but it occurs to me that a coat of enamel should minimize further dings & possibly/probably level out existing ones, plus being washable. Make sense?Actually, the pantry door in my house is a fire engine red.
Sorry Whites. Hoping it's all for the good and it will kick that cancer's butt..Survived another chemo treatment; 2 down, 10 to go!
The treatments are no problem at all, except enduring 4 hours of do-nothing time as a "captive audience" when you forget your Kindle loaded with books.
It's the waiting to see what side effects are going to surface, & when; took 6 days the first round, & was pretty brutal for 4 days.
I had a great view of people coming & going (when I didn't have my hat pulled down trying to sleep). Saw a lot that looked to be far worse off than me; most if not all younger.Sorry Whites. Hoping it's all for the good and it will kick that cancer's butt..
