Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Normally I’d think the rooster chased them out, but we’re careful to leave the coop closed till 9am which muffles his voice a bit. Plus these guys were the ones who repeatedly told us how much they loved him & offered to hide him if the rooster police showed up. Now they’re gone. :hitThey were a really quiet group too. The house is available to rent for $4,100 a month. :thThat’s 3x the mortgage on my broom.

Dang!

It is sad when the decent people move out.

And I agree, super stress waiting to see who moves in. :hugs

Why does anyone in their right mind live there?

In the 50 years I've been in the(same) house - the house next door has been sold 6 times. Guess some folks put down roots, and others have to keep on moving. Only Gus, Mr.Musil and Mr. Buck were originals from the time we moved in and still here.

I only have one original neighbor & luckily they are great. The other 3houses have been bought sold & rented literally more times than I can count.

One of our original neighbors moved away - he wanted to go where fishing spots were plentiful. First time he went out on his boat - he had a heart attack & died. His wife got stuck there because she couldn't sell their house.

Oh how horrid. :th

Everyone who was here when I moved here.... left.... all of them. -sigh-

Well... except the guy I share a driveway with... but I truly almost never see him.... on super rare occasion his grown daughter comes up and spends a night in the place.

Oh... and this one guy who died, he is buried by the church... so I guess he is still here too. :idunno

How does a family of average means afford to live in CA!?
You are in CA, if I remember right.
I'm with Al; why does anyone put up with those prices & congestion if they don't have to?
Just help CA break away from the mainland & become a resort island playground for the "deep pocket" crowd.
