Been glued to the Tv all day .worst tornado in many years blew through the middle of Tn. today.25 dead so far destruction worse than most I have seen .Death toll my go higher overnight .It is sad some of the dead are chrildren . Only about 60% of the totaly cloasped houses cleared .Went through the middle of Nashville and straight east along Interstate 40.And I can't volunteer to help .Bad enough progress has changed our city .Some older homes leveled .Cookville got hit the hardest 18 confirmed deaths were there .Homes left as piles of ruble. The warnings were all in Kentucky late last night .I went to bed thinking if god wanted to take my house he would . Exactly 35 miles to the city .Cookeville is 100 miles away . I have lived here most of my life .Worked all over the mid state.Have friends that live in every part middle Tn .Watch it all as they report on the damage.Yep worked on that house .Bought my truck from that plumbing co. Mr Barnes kept it in the basement . Except for blowing every window out of the building it was still standing .It is like taking a stroll down memoery lane .A heart breaking stroll .Tornados have hit all around us .broke a cedar tree in half down by the barn sucked the siding off the front of the house .And in spite of all the warnings, I go to bed thinking if god wants my house I can't do anything about it .I have no ideal what normal is .And if I did I would not know how to be it . I'm still here .

My poor husband. If it isn't one thing it's another. Dr. had him come in for his yearly physical. We didn't need to be told that he's declining. It's sure hard to carry on a conversation with him, but I can figure it out most of the time. While there at the docs I reminded him that his last Dr was watching his scrotum. ..that sounded funny.... Anyway, he did have the blood test last year..that's nice they check that way now days. Blood test again. It's doubled in size. . Going in for an ultra sound this morning. If, he needs it removed, I need to ask if a block can be done instead of him going under anesthesia. I've learned that can bring a dramatic decline on in Alzheimer patients. Now, I haven't let my my mind go to the big C word too seriously. Of course it's come to mind, but where it's been enlarged for years, I'm thinking it's just that, and will probably need to be removed. I'm going to post this in a few places, because I know a lot of folks will offer up a prayer or two for us. I sure love you guys. .

So sad! I know that wasn't near Lisa & am hoping it wasn't near Rav either.

Blaaaaaaaaaaaah

I really need to plow.....

But the kids are having trouble getting the plow ready for me.

The front plow edge blade had to rewelded, then screwed back on... and then of course the plow truck had run it's battery out...so we are having to slow charge it....

Blaaaaahh

I want to plow now (well, 2 hours ago) before the light gets too dim.

Do your kids know how to weld?
