An Italian prof emailed my mom (friend of my dead dad), he said the country is under full quarantine and lock down.... which means he only gets to go shopping every 2 to 3 days, instead of every day.



And when he goes shopping to buy his fresh baked bread.... he has to stand on the street and wait in line.... only about 3 people are allowed to enter the shop at any one time.

The lines though aren't too bad he said, only 10 to 15 minutes.

However, university classes are canceled, and his next meeting will be teleconference.

This sounds like stories my neighbor has told me about back in the day when they lived in communist Poland. I wonder if they're having PTSD with whats going on right now.

Nope, not at all the same... there is still bread at the store, just not too many are allowed in at any one time.

And under communism you would wait for hours, then finally enter the stores and the shelves would be bare....

Wait. .

Wasn't someone saying that was what Costco was like? Someplace in the lower 48?

DMV here in NJ is shut down for at least the next 2 weeks. They fired all the nasty people, and it is no longer a 'nasty' place.

Its felt pretty apocalyptic around here. Some days have been better/worse than others. I got milk today. I couldn't a few days ago. Pretty unpredictable.

Crazy... super crazy, especially since it is world wide.

Oh probably at least a month same cazy in the gnats that invade threads here I bet

I think so too... about a month for the crazies to un-crazy.

I also am starting to wonder, HOW do they still enter their houses/apartments? Their places must be floor to ceiling and wall to wall toilet paper!
