Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

There is ZERO snow on those photos!!! ZERO!!!
California, Al, California.
Good Evening, Pond!
Busy day today. Spent a goodly amount of time outside. DH has been busy working on our quarantine project. (As in, I said, “Hey, we need to build another greenhouse!” And he ran with it.)

stupid old man heart broke over a goat.Need to shower . DW said I got social distancing down .Depending on which the wind blows .:sick
I'm so sorry about your mama goat. It's not silly to be sad about the loss of an animal. Not silly at all.

Sorry about your doe, K!
Ivermectin:th:idunno Hard to believe what people will believe .There is no scientific evidence ,that the quinine pill helps with covid 19 at all .But it is being claimed that it will.Jim Baker yea remember him?Well he claimed to have something that will kill the coronavirus. Then said it had not been tested aganist this stran .Well ifin you don,t mind dyeing ,Bleach will kill it .And whole bunch of other viruses. And then I just read that Roseann Bar claims the virus was invented ,to kill off the babyboomers. Is it me?Or is the Conners a much better show without her? Not sure how much more of this I want to hear.It sets fear deep into the brain .I would bet that several mentaly compromised people are ready to go over the edge.Just to make sure I got a rope tied around my waist .The other end is tied to a big hickory tree .Long as the tree stands I'm good.Sure hope that tree ain't on a sink hole .
People are bonkers. I was surprised at the Ivermectin thing.

I think the media is to blame for fear-mongering. Is this serious? Yes. Should we take precautions? Absolutely. Should we as a nation be as fearful as we are? Probably not. The outlook is a lot more positive when we look at how many have survived as opposed to those who haven’t. Influenza is also deadly to pretty much the same population as Covid, but we don’t see the widespread panic over it (I know, apples and oranges there...) I guess I just don’t want fear to run my life.

I hear what you are saying, but ------------ I can/do get a flu shot each year. For this their is no vaccine. The Princess is 76, and I am pushing 79. We are in good health (knock wood) but if we get seriously ill we will not be getting a ventilator. I am concerned, not panicked, but the Princess and I are taking precautions as there are still many dying here in NJ. I want this over, but have serious concerns as to what happens once the lockdown is lifted. I see the very real possibility for a second wave of infections.

I'd be more inclined to take Ivermectin rather than chloroxyoquine. Not taking either, but it has far less serious side effects. Efficacy of either is a big ???

Years ago, when Ivermectin was only approved as a horse wormer, a veterinarian friend I knew from field trialing started using it as a heartworm preventive in his dogs. Lots of us took up the practice; worked great. Not sure whether it ever got officially approved for dogs or not.

I totally get what you’re saying, Sour. And I think that a certain level of concern is necessary. My mom and step-dad are both 79. This would kill him without question - his immune system is compromised, and his lungs are damaged beyond repair. Mom is in good health, but did have breast cancer last year (underwent radiation last summer) and is taking Arimidex. I think precautions are prudent. I don’t put you in the bonkers category. I would call you “reasonably cautious”. But reading an article that makes mention of something that has no record of curing the virus and then going out and buying it up “just in case” is bonkers.

Oh, I embrace 'bonkers' - just not about this. :lau
