Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

@kwhites634 Just her misguided version of 'isolate in place'. How are things in your area of Md?
We're not too bad, yet, but we haven't peaked yet. Death toll in this county has gone to double digits now.

I had to go to Lowe's yesterday to get a few steel roof panels to repair the roof of the coop; wind caused the nails to pull through the plastic ones. Didn't have to go inside the store, though; I'd ordered it online, like I normally do, and they had it ready. All they had to do was bring it out.

Ex DIL has been doing the grocery shopping for us, so we don't have that to contend with. DW's had a couple of doctors' appointments via computer, and the pastor's streaming services. I don't generally drive much, anyway, so that part doesn't impact me a lot. I do miss my fishing, though.

Overall, my routine hasn't changed much at all. Hopefully, we'll be able to ride it out & come out the other side in good shape. Time will tell. Hope you & your's fare as well.

BTW, I've lived in MD the vast majority of my life & have never been to Chincoteague. I'd like to witness the roundup some day, but don't suppose I ever will.

HAPPY EASTER
Ever tried planting potatoes in stacked tires?
I never have, but have seen mixed reviews on it; some think it's the greatest idea since sliced bread...some don't like it at all.
Didn't work for us.
I do and it works good only go three high, have heard some will make partial cutouts..
We just dig them out
Rather plow them up.
There are signs we may be getting to come out of quarantine sooner rather than later. The northstate Cali counties have experienced very little covid activity. Not sure they'll go so far as to open schools, but "lockdown" may come to an end by the end of the month, and businesses may reopen again.
They're even starting to postulate that the virus may have come through already (late Jan/Feb) when everyone was so stinking sick and they just marked it up to a particularly virulent H1N1. (Not saying I agree, just thinking... hmmm, we were all really sick then... What if???)
Without testing for antibodies you won't know .
It's Now illegal in the state of Michigan to buy house paint..... gardening supplies ..... or fish in a boat with any type of motor... even a electric motor....$1000 fine
That sucks,And is illegal to boot.
I hadn't heard that martial law had been declared in MI.
They are using the decoration of a national disaster ,to make unconstitutional law.None of which will stand up in a court of law.It is happing all over the country .Clearly there are rural areas unaffected by the virus .However greatly affected by illegal laws ,they think they have the power to inact. Conditions to declare marshall do exist .Only in small portions of the country.Like wise notional desaster conditions exists only in small pockets of the country. Not the whole country. Absolute Power!!!!!

Well is pretty much there... can't even buy paint... garden supplies. Can only fish from a boat If it doesn't have a motor.
Can't plant a garden in Michigan.... Our fearless leader Whitmer basically declaring a Marshall law lite
The way laws are worded .Always has a loop hole depending who the interpreter is. Some how they always find someone, that says they have the power.

Wishing you all a happy and blessed Easter! My grandson was born at 3:45 this morning - both mama and baby are fine. Waiting for a call with details such as name, weight, and length. Son called about 20 minutes after baby was born. He was sitting in his van warming up. (He was standing outside in the cold on his step ladder looking in the window as baby was born.)

@LittleLakePhil They're slamming down hard on Michigan (mostly aimed at the lower peninsula) to force folks to stay put, trying to get control of the virus spread. Not left any other choice, at least as they see it, because they couldn't get people to pay attention to the stay at home orders and appealing to their common sense, so they tried harder, still a less than intelligent response in the lower part of the state, more folks keep dying,,,,you'd think Detroit would have learned after the riots, guess there's not enough people left that were caught in it like I was who remember.

What better way to stay home than to start painting your house? Might be a tad chilly with a couple feet of snow on the ground, though, but gov't hasn't the right to make that decision.
