morning ponders
long few days. not used to all the noise. poor chooks not happy. Loggers should finish up today (for now, will return to get into the wet areas when the ground refreezes). Stacks of logs in several places. The guys have done a great job keeping the mess and ground damage to a minimum while really moving quickly. The log stacks will remain for a week or two as the pulp mills are backed up right now. No problem. With the toilet paper still in short supply the price for the pulp wood is expected to continue to increase for now anyway.
Looking more like a logging camp than a homestead
I'm glad they're finishing up today. I've got lots of my own work I need to get done outside before I start back to work for the census on Tuesday.
EVERYONE PLEASE STAY SAFE THIS HOLIDAY WEEKEND!
