First day in months intend to take full advantage

Woke up this morning and scared myself until I realized the white I was staring at was not clouds, just the ceiling. Still here, good day.

Got rid of more chickens!!!

At 5 bucks a pop, not a bunch of money... but I had no idea how old they were... so not bad.

I think I sold 30ish chickens, not sure now.

I DO know how many I now have... I think...

1 old blue Ameraucana
1 even older Black Copper Marans cross
1 rose comb white Leghorn
1 rose comb dark brown Leghorn
1 bantam Wyandotte cross

3 Spitz girls, Chamois color, 1 Male

4 Leghorn males in my unused veggie garden.

Uh... a pen full of Bantam Wheaten Ameraucana


I am thinking... this week I will count the bantams, see if I can sell all but 3 girls, sell that lone bantam cross, and sell one more Spitz girl... maybe


Then I will hatch some eggs.

Try for 4ish new Leghorns, 4ish new Spitz, and 3ish Ameraucana bantams.

That would be 6 old standard girls, 8 new standard sized girls. Total of 14 girls and 2 males, 1 Spitz and 1 Leghorn.

In my 8x24 coop.

Good... I think. Maybe I should keep fewer new ones.
