Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I found a huge bottle of extra strength Tylenol, so I am good there.

So far.... just took Excedrin (all I found before the Tylenol was found) and napped all day.

Nap and no headache made me feel better. :idunno

Headache is starting to creep back... but just have the tiniest runny nose......

Maybe this will all be fine....
:fl :fl :hugs

Soooooo

Remember how I had a colonoscopy?

The day after the colonoscopy I got a call, one of the nurses that had worked on me just tested positive for covid.

So... I got locked in my room... eldest 3 were kicked out of the house to live next door (eldest 2 were going to travel with me to Texas to help my mom clean her house, and then the wedding) and kid 3 is "at risk" or whatever. Youngest 2 stayed home to do chores, spouse moved into the TV room.

My room is part of the master suit, all by itself, up a flight of stairs. I tried to keep the bathroom fan on as much as possible, and windows open. Food was left at the top of the stairs... anyway... I think safe.

And......

Last night I started to get sick.

Kid 2 texted me from Texas this morning. When I told him I was getting sick, his response was

"What kind of whackedy-split bat guzzling antichrist of a german fairy tale did you enrage?"

Well.....

We have been pretty good at the entire quarantine...but still....

So youngest 2 and spouse are now also in full quarantine (but still not near my quarantine) and kid 3 will have money transferred into his account so that he can go shopping etc. for himself and never again come home.

(Even though we had kicked him out... since my quarantine is WAY far away from the kitchen, he had been allowed to return home, kitchen access only. He hadn't been allowed into the bedroom section of the house.)
Oh no! Are you going to be tested? I hope you feel better very soon, and your family stays well.

I’m afraid our plans have been canceled as well. Our friends’ son (who lives in the cabin next door, but shares meals with them) got tested on Wednesday - after he got sick, two days after a coworker tested positive.... If his test is positive, we’re for sure staying home.

:lau:confused:
That's a beautiful picture.
Calendar worthy for sure

I hope you are feeling better today .And are you going for a test ?We are under a county wide mask order. Every store has a do not inter without a mask.
Yes, that it does.

And, I freely admit, I am a HUGE whiny baby when sick.

My head hurts. :hit
Milk it for all it's worth Al.:lau
Holy crap Al, you have got to be kidding me?!:barnie:he I will not allow it!:old I absolutely will not allow it!!! I insist you feel better immediately!!!:hugs

PS. Make sure you’re taking acetaminophen & not ibuprofen.
And get tested !!!!!!!!!

Well get tested anyway . And just think how lucky you are . If I got sick I'd have to get rid of a dog to have a place to sleep .And they would still expect me to cook.:th.It's early, I am out of bed Coffee is made pouring a cup now .I really need a roof bad. Been pricing metal .Not as bad as I thought it would be . Got a company working up a complete list . Roofers are bad about doing short work . Suppliers are bad about selling unneeded supplies . The best price I got on materials ,the guy wants to sell me pop rivets for the ridge cap. :rantI sometimes think ,that they think intelligence:idunno goes with hair color. One trying to talk me out of metal said metal roofs require a lot of maintenance. Not really what they require is proper installation . Thicker plywood decking 5/8ths. inch minimum thickness ,Not OSD. And it should be put down on some type of tar/asphalt compound .Old fashioned 30 pound felt paper. Painted with a roof coating would be my first choice .:idunnoGuess I'll eat my breakfast of pills, wash and put the eggs away . And once again dive into the world of face book ,Try grasp the full understanding of how it works and if I can work it :he It seems to be the only way my cousins ,all of which are long in the tooth like me converse . I may never talk to them again . I got the getting part done but now what? And really all because I'm looking for scaffold walk boards. And the first thing I learned. I can't use market place . Which is the reason I opened a face book account in the first place . I never realized how many people I don't like are on facebook
I hope you all have a great day today . Stop and smell the roses, remember the normal times of the past . Adapt to the present . Good thought for today . A mask covers ugly . I don't break mirrors any more :lau

:gig
I have 2 chickens 2 (hopefully) new chicks, 1 dog, 1 cat and 1 horse...
Good morning and welcome!!!
Sorry, been having connectivity issues so haven't checked in lately.
How are you doing with your poultry restrictions over there? I am aware your side of the pond has been having problems with the bird flu on top of everything else. Some of your feeding restrictions are just wild. My birds love their kitchen scraps. They yell at me thru the kitchen window if I'm late with their afternoon treats.
I love the "Poultry site" page on FB. I also follow a couple different British poultry/rescue groups. You in Europre are far more in tune with animal welfare on both commercial and private levels than we here over here, sadly.

Blessed Sunday morning fellow ponders :caf
Finally turned that crummy old ISP gateway into a frizbee and have a nice new 21st century version router all up and functioning and everything talking to everything. Boy, you forget how many "toys" you actually have until you have to reconnect everything. Still crashing (like just a minute ago, twice. make that three) but at least now I can get right back on. Only having issues when all the city folks run up here and bring all their toys along, like this weekend. The antique network up here can't handle the load and it really helps that the only ISP in the area (aka Frontier) just declared bankruptcy.

@Alaskan - Really?!?!?! Just wow. Hugs and prayers for you and yours my friend.

We always wore our masks anyway when off the farm, but as of yesterday it became mandatory statewide so that tells you how much us sane folks up here so appreciate all those crazies in Milwaukee and Madison that think it's their RIGHT to see how many they can stuff into a bar , sans masks or sanitizer of course, and party. It would have been ok except when they all started getting sick they thought it was a great idea to get out of town and head up here! We have enough backstock in the pantry to ride out the apocalypse so we're all good.

Sir Sour, I fear I'm of your mindset. Not sure we're going to climb out of this hole any time in the near future, if??? I just can't help but feel sorry for any of my fellow ponders that might have family (or themselves) trapped in the cities. I'm so grateful and only wish we were actually further into the woods than we are. We could still go totally off grid if we had to without too much trouble. Our only weakness is a lack being able to bulk store gasoline.

Well I am hanging in there with everything but I don’t really know what to think of it all.... I still feed them kitchen scraps as I did before but I’m still quite cautious. Over here people are all about animal welfare! We love animals as if they were our own lol😂😂💕💕💕
