Good Morning, Pond!
Another beautiful day on my lily pad, but it looks like I may need to break out the sunscreen - it’s supposed to get up to 82 today! :wee

When I let out the chickens this morning, I kept the rooster in so Red and Goldie could get out and free range. As I looked at my rooster pacing in the run, it occurred to me that he could possibly have an unfortunate accident some day. I mean, there are many sharp objects here on the farm (one of them being a hatchet), and if he should happen to get to close, it would end badly (although quickly) for him.

We used to have a family with three little boys that would come over fairly regularly and they would build all kinds of creations and stage them strategically throughout the house. Then I'd see them later and they'd ask, "Did you find the creature in the bathroom??" Miss those kids . (The family moved to Oregon.)

We have several buckets of Legos. Grandson loves lo build and build with them. I currently have, sitting on my hutch, a “coffee maker/jackhammer”, “Grampa’s Golopamobile”, a boat and a truck (they were built by a 4-year old, so you have to look closely to see it.) These things cannot be moved or disassembled because he looks for them every time he comes to visit. Grandson’s daddy and uncles played with Legos as kids, and his one uncle has amassed quite a collection of sets.

We will definitely keep a bunch for the 'possibility' if grandkids someday - but we don't need two of everything (people bought each twin the same thing for b-days and Christmas), so I think son #1 will try selling some of them once they're put together to make sure all the pieces are there.
