Haha. I know, I took all the interesting looking ones. drove an hour for them, figured I'd make it worth my time.

our kids had 4 wheelers from 5 yrs old--learned on smallest version-wearing helmets-how to accelerate, slow down, make safe turns. they drove tractor when big enough to reach pedals. 12 yr old granddaughter pulls hay wagon with tractor now. She drives all the mules and side by sides. I will have no concerns about her driving a car on public roads when she is old enough

Good for you! Parents should be able to determine when kids are ready, not the government.

we have trails and roads on our farm---a safe place for off road training! Our problems are with trespassers who get ATVs and think any open space in the country is for them!

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. It's not unheard of for the neighbor's kids to come running across the bottom while I'm sitting in the blind deer hunting, or run their ATV's up & down our lane whenever they take a notion. Even caught the youngest dumping kitchen garbage on our place once; said her mother told her to! Don't blame the kids as much as I do the parents.
