Well, nonemergency surgery is better than emergency surgery, but shoot! When was the family coming in? Is this an outpatient surgery? Did they give you some powerful painkillers to get you thru this weekend?

Last, but not least, thank God this didn’t happen 6-8wks ago.

Outpatient surgery, got a prescription for Tramadol “in case you run into trouble over the weekend” last week already.
Yes - very thankful this didn’t happen 6-8 weeks ago...

That is a good question, lol. I'd have to know what the parents are. But it almost looks like penciled. Maybe even emory penciled.

Also pictures as a little duckling would help. This guy is right in the awkward feathering out stage so it makes it hard to say color.

Beats me. Buff is the closest I can figure. I'm not even sure what the parents are. I guess a Ancona X khaki drake back over a khaki.

I have pictures from a different duckling I hatched back in December as a duckling. She's pretty much feathered out now I can get some pics of her tomorrow. They looked basically identical as ducklings, this younger one has way more white on the head and breast though. I've hatched about 4 so far this year I think. Here's fresh out of the Bator.
