One thing I cannot stand though, is the judgement people throw at each other either way. All "Anti-vaxers" aren't stupid, and all "Vaxers" aren't sheep. There. Orr has spoken.

Maybe force yourself to write down a list of pros and a list of cons.

Seeing it in black and white might make it more clear which points are more important to you.

I love that you think this way. I’m a huge fan of ink & paper pros & cons lists. The problem is that there were way more cons than pros, but I still keep hashing over. It’s like defying logic, or insanity or something.

If you’re still hashing it over despite the cons, I think you should go. That you’re thinking that hard on it looks to me like you want it to work. Go, trust your family to take care of your animals, wash your hands and bring your hand sanitizer. Mask if it makes you more comfortable. Enjoy the moments.

Have your kids (edit-actually anyone you may come back in contact with later) been vaccinated? (You don’t need to answer that out loud!) but it might be a consideration in case you could carry something home from one of the little Petri dishes. Im sure you’ve already considered that though. I’m always more concerned of others health than my own.

Exactly my fear. My house is made up of mostly non vaccinated & some partially vaccinated.

My extended family are huggers. It’s usually a gift, but suddenly feels like a curse.

Going is not a financially responsible decision. Going during a pandemic is ridiculous. I keep telling myself to let it go, then I continue shuffle the pieces again.

According to school guidelines - which are following CDC - if you’re not exposed for more than 15 minutes and are further than 6’ away, you’re safe. How long do you people hug, anyway? (Hug quickly, then back away. Any of the activities going to be outside?)

Yes, we’ll be outside a lot.

Trying to find last minute lodging that close to Yellowstone in the summer has been a challenge too. I know they could find a spot for me with somebody’s cousins, mother inlaws sister. I don’t know about you guys, but I just can not do that.

I even talked about buying one of those tents that pop up in the back of the truck. DH was not amused.
