In my lifetime it’s never been cold enough to have a fire in the house in September. This is usually our hottest month. It actually rained today & fog so thick you couldn’t see the mountains. I’m loving it!

I wonder where my socks are. There must be a pair around here somewhere.

We had a brief respite from the heat here as well... But forecast calls for 90s by tomorrow.

In other news, my running buddy for the last 10 years is having sciatic issues and can't run (she's hoping to recover, but it's been rough)...

That is tough.

Can you both switch to swimming?

When I went in to wake the littles. The lone hatch was dead poor guy.. The frizzle was not in the brooder.
She went for walk about.. back in the brooder now

She's gone. I think they ate her.

Morning Pond still wet here but rubber boots make it okay no spider here. As long as they are outside not under my foot they are okay.
Just never been friendly to them.

Fireplaces yes, but no ac.

The climate is pretty moderate here year round. That’s why I stay. January can get a little chilly. August & September are horrid, like walking on the face of the sun. This weather pattern is so strange, but I’m not complaining. I might make soup tonight.
