I wouldn’t exactly call it a “storm”, but it is snowing, and there’s enough already that it’s hard to get out and get around with more coming. It is pretty, though…

It’s a peaceful snow. Just nice, fluffy flakes coming down. No wind, moderate temperatures.

I euthanized my 1st chicken today. Crazy that after a dozen years this is the first time it’s come up. It was tough. She was my favorite, of course.

Logically, I know “it was the right thing to do.” Emotionally, I feel like a horrid, callous murderer.

Don't let yourself brood over having to euthanize your chicken.

To watch her suffer would have been very cruel.

Happy Friday Ponders. I can feel the storm coming. Predictions are still sketchy on just how much white stuff we will receive, but I’m ready to spend the whole weekend in my recliner with the cats and dogs and a fire going.

Looking at - F wind chills tomorrow and perhaps Sunday. Some snow Sunday night into Monday. Looking like the recliner is a good idea.

Morning Pond busy dry day get new mower out of the truck. Have a new tarp for the main coop .. BF put a small tear in the old tarp that is now huge.
New coop is part done, not enough for birds.
