BTDT several times here just NW of Denton, TX.

Most memorable hail was 3” deep in both front & back yards. Back in 2013 spring. All the yards & fields around us had 3 inches of hail. Some piles lasted more than 3 days in the shade from the house on northern sides.

Hail was from pea sized all the way up to 1/2 dollar sizes. The majority was ~1/2 inch sized. I do have pics saved from back then….
