Well pond, I went against my better judgment. I ordered chicks online. Two different shipments. Last week was great. This week not so much. They're not scheduled to get here until tomorrow and my post office closes early on Saturdays. It's looking like I have a very high chance of not getting my chicks until Monday. They were shipped out Wednesday. I'm feeling highly emotional.

I ended up getting them yesterday morning but my post office is incompetent. They claimed my phone number was not on the box so they had them for many hours. My phone number was indeed on the box. 18 of 20 of my meat chickens were dead and within a couple of hours all 20 were dead. My egg hens are ok for now but there were a few that I wasn't sure were going to make it. So fingers crossed.

Funny the first time I read it. Even more funny this time. Thank goodness I'm not the only one who does things like that.

Same here. Supposed to get up to 92° today but around Wednesday it's only gonna hit 54°. That kind of weather is what makes people sick.
