Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I have the darnedest time looking outside at the right times!!! Nice show @bobbi-j

And @Cynthia12 I hope your weather actually does cool off.. and... keep us updated about your cousin!
I have to make an effort to see them. We have a thick grove north of our house, so I have to go to the end of the driveway to get past the trees to see them. Our driveway is L-shaped, first view is to the east so we have to go alllll the way to the road (about 1/4 mile - really not that far unless it’s cold or rainy out.)

I just got notified that I had a great grandson born this afternoon. I won't post a photo unless they ok it. Makes our 12th great. Another on the way the first part of the year. :)

Congratulations!!

Good Afternoon Pond!
Taking an unscheduled break since my student went home sick today. I’m going on about 4 hours of sleep, so it’s not the worst timing. Why did I only get a few hours of sleep? Because I got a text from a friend at 11:30 pm (2 1/2 hours after I went to bed) saying, “If you’re still up, the Northern Lights are active tonight!” So I woke up my poor sick husband and said, “We have to go outside!” I’m so thankful we did…

We spent an hour out there, me standing next to the car in my purple fuzzy robe and slippers gawking at the sky. (Good thing there’s no traffic on our road that time of nigh…)It was worth every second of lost sleep!

Absolutely beautiful! I would love to see them in person some day. I've given up on seeing them here. Every time they say they'll be visible in Pennsylvania it's either cloudy or we don't see anything.

Still waiting on an official people count for the Apple Cider festival. It was a beautiful day! I docidern't think we had as many people this year as last year but it was still packed. The pictures don't do it justice (that and I took most of them before it was super crowded). We did run around early and got our apple cider, kettle corn, cinnamon and sugar roasted almonds and monkey bread before it got too crazy lol

We have one last busy event this weekend. It's the trunk of treats weekend in the campground. I'm so thankful I'm not working this weekend. It gets crazy! Every site gets booked up 11 months in advance, permits are required to get in. There are already a few very elaborate displays set up. And some people will even set up haunted houses. If I end up in the campground for anything today I'll run around and take some pictures.

They said Utah got a glimpse! But, not me. Didn't even think it would be a possibility here. Photos were shown. They were pink.

Oh those Almonds! :drool
We have what we call Trunk or Treat at our church. Some people fix up their trunks really cute.

60 out right now at almost 10:30. Will get up to 84. Have to say although it gets warm right now, it cools off nice by early evening. Had a nice time with kids outside yesterday. We set out different fall garden decorations. My grandson loved picking out "the" place for quite a few.
Have a great day!
