They didn't leave behind anything worth anything.... just old dirty underwear and socks and lots o trash.... we've been picking through FILs stuff to see if any of it is usable... a lot of stuff is just too worn or dirty... but we did keep some for the house and some will be going to Goodwill.

DH cut the old tub out today and we got it hauled out...AND found a new tub on Craigslist!

DH is finally feeling optimistic again now that that old tub is out... at first we had NO idea HOW we were going to get it out... so that was a huge accomplishment

Well, I have been hard at work and I almost have the new kitchen floor down and I have all but the ceiling painted....

I decided to do a faux elephant hide texture in the livingroom with tissuepaper on the walls. I chose this pretty green/blue color and I LOVE it! We're going to rent a sander this week and attempt to redo the floor.

The upstairs tub is IN! yay! Just need to install the shower and walls now and put in the toilet and sink. Most of the cleaning is done and things are getting there, slowly but surely!

I have little time for much else and I miss my free time to spend on the BYC. My house is full of boxes and mess and I am trying to declutter as I pack so that I don't take stuff I don't need to the new house.

I will post pictures soon...... it's CRAZY what some elbow grease and paint will do!

Here's where we tore up the old linoleum and put down stick tiles..... it's just temporary until we can afford some ceramic tile and have time to put it in properly.

Hey I have one of those too!

Slow and steady wins the race...

We are doing 1 room at a time as money allows - may take us 12 years to get the house done - but at least it will all be paid for in cash

We're doing all the work ourselves as well.

Good luck and what a very nice place! Love the corner cabinet too!

Its amazing how a new floor can change the whole look isnt it. You and you hubby are doing a great job!
