I'll be in the barn!
With winter over and this nice weather, we begin to gather around the campfire in the evenings once again. Only thing is, our campfire on BYC won't die out (hopefully not!).

what do we do here?
What else other than tell a story? I'll begin, and we will each add bits and pieces to the story until we decide to end it and start a new one!

who can join?
Anyone! Put on your thinking cap, get creative and let's make up a story!

RULES:
keep it appropriate for all audiences, follow all BYC rules, and if you have a question or absolutely HAVE to say something please write in (these).

Chapter 1

Once apon a time, there were three chickens, Eggatha, Eggbert, and Eggna. They loved to tell stories around the water heater as they roasted chicken feed.
"What shall the next story be," asked Eggna, "I want something scary!"
"Let's see," said Eggbert, "How about the story of the two roosts?"
"Yes, yes!" Eggatha and Eggna clucked.
"All right, sit back, and I'll tell you," Said Eggbert. "Once apon a time, there were

"wait a minute! said Eggatha, you said that already!"
"I did? said Eggbert, "Why, we must be IN the story!"
"But.. but... don't the three chickens disappear in the story?" said Eggna.
"Uh oh.....", said Eggatha...

Chapter 2?

(eggscellent story!)

Chapter 2
Eggna gulped. "Was there a big green silkie in the story?!"

Eggbert and Eggatha turned around slowly to see a fat, mean looking silkie rooster staring right at them. He was only dyed green by the silly humans, but they did not know that. The three chickens clucked and ran to seek shelter in the nest boxes until morning.

"I'm not leaving this nest until morning and the door is opened!" Eggatha said.

Chapter 3

The next morning, Eggbert, Eggatha, and Eggna rushed outside.
"I was so scared last night, I laid an egg!" said Eggna.
"You're a chicken, silly," said Eggatha, "You lay an egg nearly every day!"
"Oh yeah. I guess I was so scared I forgot my natural habits," said Eggna.
"Where's that big green silkie?" said Eggbert, "I want to give him a piece of my mind!"
"I don't think you should have said that, Eggbert," said Eggatha, "Look! A whole hoarde of scary silkies! RUN!!!!!!!!!!"
"Wait a second!" said Eggbert, "Look! They are PINK!"
"Oh," said Eggna, "what a releif! In the story, the pink ones meant no harm. They only wanted to.... what was that word? Oh yeah. Pluck us! Don't know what that meant."
"Don't know what that meant?!?!?!?!!" yelled Eggbert, "That means we will have no feathers!"
"Uh oh," said Eggna, "I think I am going to lay another egg."
"RUN!!!!!!!!" Yelled Eggatha.
The poor chickens ran as fast as they could. As they went around a corner, who did they meet but the green silkie!
"How do we get away without being trapped?" said Eggbert, "We're cornered!"
"Hey guys, we have something called wings," said Eggna," I think we can fly onto that roof!
The scared chickens all flapped their wings as hard as they could. Once they got on top of the roof, they saw a......

silly human. Whilst sitting on the roof, they were eye level with the silly human.
"What happened to you three? You look like you've seen a ghost!" The human spoke to the chickens.

Eggna and Eggatha clucked. Eggbert flew at the silly human and the silly human backed away so that Eggbert tumbled to the ground. Eggna and Eggatha quickly flew down to the ground to see if Eggbert was alright. Then, the silly human came at them, shooing them toward a door in the fence.

"I don't know about you two, but I'm not going back in the coop and run now!" Eggbert said. He hung his head. "I know that I'm being selfish and not protecting my flock, but I'm much too frightened!"

"No Eggbert. You're the bravest rooster we know! You were going to stand up to the green silkie, and you flew at the silly human!" Eggna and Eggatha agreed. "We will go with you wherever you decide to go."

And so the three ran toward a bunch of bushes to hide from the silly human.
"When he's gone we'll run for the forest!" Eggbert proudly gave orders.

Chapter 4:

"I don't know about that, Eggbert," said Eggatha, "there's an electric chicken wire fence there!"
"How about we dig under it?" said Eggbert.
"Hey guys, deja vu, we have wings," said Eggna.
"Oh yeah..." said Eggbert.
"The human is out of sight! let's go!" said Eggbert.
"Uh oh," said Eggna, "I was so scared that I laid a trail of eggs!"

Suddenly the human came up. It had followed the trail of eggs!

"RUN!!!!!!!!!" yelled Eggatha.
"FLY!!!!!!!!!!" yelled Eggna.
"DIG!!!!!!!!!!" yelled Eggbert.

They all started frantically running, flying and digging. Eggna made it past the fence first, then Eggbert, but poor Eggatha was caught by the human!
She was so scared, that she laid an egg, and it dropped onto the human's bare foot.

"Augh!" Eggatha heard the human yell in a strange language. He dropped Eggatha, and she was close enough to the fence to get over it.

"That was close!" said Eggbert.
"It sure was," said Eggatha, "I am glad I laid an egg!"
"What do we do now?" asked Eggna.
"We will walk into the forest and find shelter," clucked Eggbert proudly.

After about an hour of walking, the three chickens started to complain.

"I'm hungry!"
"I'm thirsty!"
"I have to lay an egg!"
"I recognize that fence!"
"That's OUR fence!"

They all ran towards it. This time, they all flew over it.

"Let's try escaping another time," said Eggbert, "and next time let's bring water and food."
"We're fine with that," Eggna and Eggatha agreed.

All of the sudden, some BLUE silkies started coming up to them!

"What do those ones do in the story, Eggna?" asked Eggbert.
"Something called greeting, I think," said Eggna.
"RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" yelled Eggbert, "get in the coop!"

They all got on the roost with sighs of relief. Suddenly, the roost dropped out from under them, and they fell into a...
