I am saddened i missed this post it must have been well hidden. Sorry to hear of your loss, i imagine that was quite hard, i know your ducks are pets to you in every sense. You have some lovely additions though, i hope it works well.

Posts go that way sometimes, GQ, thanks for the condolences. It was awful to walk in and see her there. I would have preferred to hold her as she slipped away, but then I realized that it was better for her, such a shy girl, to be alone. I did carry her body cradled in my arms over to the flock so they could see her.I am saddened i missed this post it must have been well hidden. Thanks, Wynette, it's the bitter part of the bittersweet. Bean is molting right now, and I am impressed with his easygoing ways. Not that he doesn't talk back to Einz who keeps yelling in his face. But he shows great restraint. Einz is the largest of my runner girls. What a pip. I don't know why she gets so exercised about him. Or why Carmella is that way about Romy. I keep thinking this is like middle school at its worst.Awe....they are lovely, Amiga! So happy you go them, they look very healthy!! I'm sure they will all be fast friends in no time. I'm glad Bean does not seem impressed whatsoever with the drama! And...very sorry about Michele.![]()

Happy to hear of their progress.Update:
I ask myself, "are we there yet?"
We are getting there.
Still having some yelling bouts and a few skirmishes. Nothing serious. The coffees and the runners plus Romy are coexisting during the day in the tea garden under supervision. When I need to try to have a life, or part thereof, Romy-n-Runners go to the day pen, coffees go to the basement night pen. All is well.
I very much like the coffees. Okay, I love them. Bean is a gentledrake, Carmella the spitfire has settled down, and Hazel is lovely as ever.
She has even begun talking a little. Carmella has a deep voice, Hazel's is more of a high pitched coo most of the time.
I have hugged Einz a few times. She is making the most ruckus. She hates hugs. She even got timeout for a little while today. It is much quieter after hugs and timeout.![]()
Hoping this goes into the archives and someone new to introducktions gets some good ideas. By the way, this is Day 6.
