Weld mesh advice .. tacker, staples..

Fencing staples are meant for fences like this where line wires take the stress of any pulling or pushing and the fence is hung and tied on the line wires. All the fence does is add a bit of overall strength but it's main purpose is to stop large creatures in this case from going through the fence.
Great for stopping a ram with a ten metre run up; not much use for keeping out stoats, weasels, mink and rats, or even foxes for that matter.:D

The weld mesh attached with the fencing staples is great against foxes , pine marten or mink , they'll never rip the mesh from the wood and they don't rust out like the light staples
