Well here I am again. Coloring I'm guessing is Barred Rock, but what breed would she be or does the coloring label her?

She is either a Dominique or a Plymouth Rock :).

They look similar but they have different combs; I can't remember which has which.

Barred is a color of Plymouth Rock...there are also White Plymouth Rocks.

Thank you so much she's a real sweetheart and has made a real good friend for that little one you see in the foreground. They are best of buddies. She was given to me by a lady who I thought she said she was a Cochin but from what I have looked she does not look like that at all.

I only have one but she's is one of my favorite hens now! She kept the other chicks calmer by not overreacting and flying all over the place .They learned to trust me faster because of her. In the beginning I thought she was a cockerel because her comb was bigger but after I made a post here I was told she wasn't a dominique like the others
Isn't that something. I had different chickens for 15 years and then have not for a few. These ones just came into my life on a fluke :) this one girl had been in a picked on situation so it turned out perfectly to come here with my little one. I didn't even get them for eggs and they're both laying and giving me back gifts. I find that little one almost under that big girl's wing on the roost it's precious. Anyway thanks for your note. Sweet Birds :)
