don't be surprised if one of them is pretending to be the guy carving a roast beef and asks if you want au jus or horsey sauce with your meat.

I mix my feed up in a 5 gallon bucket and use a scoop to feed the chickens. I catch my Cocker Spaniel helping himself all the time, does no good to yell at him, at 13 years old he is totally deaf. I keep waiting for him to lay eggs.......

Well, I left a bag of baby food (starter) on the porch and my Blue Heeler ate it!

ETA: You reminded me of a saying my grandma had: "Well ding dong ring the stupid gong!" She'd say it whenever she did something not real bright!

I found out that a cat can and will claw open a bag of chick start if she wants a snack. Wish I'd learned that BEFORE I picked the bag up to put it away

As soon as i lay a bag down outside my dog guards it,she has been know to gaurd a feed bag all night...

Okay, so we have to get a dog to guard our chickens and now we have to get a dog to guard the chicken food against the chickens. What breed is best for guarding chicken food?

not chihuahuas! if the chickens came up to the feed with my chihuahuas on guard id have a couple screaming dogs! XD
