Well I'm off to AUCTION!

Me and my buddy are going to be heading over to the local auction here in about an hour. The auction is smack dab in the middle of amish country. You get a good mix of dutch and english buyers and sellers and it is always amazing what you will find over there and the GREAT deals. I'm taking....

5-10 Quail Chicks
18-20 Started Quail
5-6 Adult quail
100+ Assorted Quail eggs

And 6 chickens. Really cannot wait to see what quail bring. Last week it was $2.50 a bird....weeks before that it was $12.00 a bird.

Wow!! I wish quail would bring $12 here!! I get like $3 at most, unless they are breeding groups. I usually get $15 for a group of 4 (1m, 3f). $12 a bird would be awesome!!

Well I didn't strike gold but heck I'm happy. They put some money in the feed-bin...heres my tally.

100+ Eggs....$12.00

12 Quail chicks....$12.00

4 Adult Quail.....$7.00

15 Started Quail....$7.50

6 Dekalb Amberlink Chickens....$3.00

Those prices are total. I restrained myself and only left with 7 Started Chukar chicks

Wow!! What a rip off! I guess it's all right, at least you don't have to feed them! But wow, those were really bad prices.
