I'm not sure about Dark eggs like a Maran or Welsummer would, but I know they lay large brown eggs. I know mine does

Mine lay brown eggs. Not really dark though. The australorp egg is the one on the far right in this picture. The others are from an RIR, BR, and EE.

Yep! I agree, Australorp. I have 2 also. They are great layers and have nice personalities.

I have a couple and i love how easy they are. My kids think they are great because they will come up and eat out of their hand and follow them around like dog. They are great layers too so it is the best of both worlds!
