Your very fortunate that you get to think of about the things you wish you had said and not be sorry for the things you shouldn't have said.
You sir is exactly what we need more people to act like.
If they were complete strangers I wouldn't have probably been so nice. But you atlases had contact with them once before and know where to find them. Still doesn't make it right.
I'm betting you'll see them again and will take the opportunity to kindly tell them what you wish you would of the first time.
My grandfather once told me when we die all we take to the grave is are name.
By allowing kids to be kids and let them use your creek is honorable.
You sir have my respect.
We can either make this world a better place to live or be one of "them people "

Very humbled by your post. Thank you for the kind words. I am fortunate that not only did I not blow my top, but that I was able to post this thread, share the experience, and get such wonderful responses from the BYC community.

Happy times! The kids came over with their parent this evening. They were all sitting at the fence watching the chickens. So I gave them some treats for the birds that I was going to give the birds anyway. The kids stayed real still and soon the chickens were eating out of their hands. The kids had a blast. I really enjoyed watching the kids having a good time with my chicks. It's all good and I thought I would just try to bring this thread to a happy ending. Heres a few pics....

And yes, for those of you wondering, I asked the mother how she liked my cute little signs. She said she loved them and we had a nice little chat - about things in a round about way. Message sent and received very well. Could not have gone better.
