Not sure about by coloring... maybe still female, not seeing serious red hints though always learning... but them are some FAT legs.

How about a couple pics that show comb and waddles color and size? A maybe even one showing how the bird stands naturally?

Behavior among it's peers can be a good indicator as well.

Getting a good view of the comb and wattles would be very helpful. A little suspicious due to large amounts of red plumage....I raised a cockerel that looked somewhat similar.

Though there's still 50/50 chance at this young age, so don't take my word for it.

5 weeks is still kind of young for Easter Eggers. Pea combed breeds are harder to sex young. This particular pattern is not sex specific.

Agree-- it is a little early. He or she isn't feathered out all the way. Give it 2 or 3 more weeks and try again.

You can't really go by coloring with EEs.

Post pics of the comb at 7-8 weeks.
